In these sizes each stage adds a lot of head, so the range includes -1 and -2 builds between the whole stage counts. CDL(F) 120-40-2, 120-40-1 and 120-40 give 69, 76 and 81 m. That lets the pump be matched closely to the duty instead of over-pressurising the system.
