This order came in 2025: one large vertical multistage pump for a site in Inner Mongolia. Factories write the model in two ways, CDL85-3-2 or CDL 85-30-2. Both mean the same pump.

What the -2 means

In the big CDL sizes each full stage adds a lot of head, so the range has in-between builds. The 85-20 gives 41 m and the full 85-30 gives 64 m. The 85-30-2 has trimmed stages and lands at 52 m with a smaller 18.5 kW motor instead of 22 kW. If 52 m covers the duty, that saves power on every hour the pump runs.

Planning for a 260 kg pump

• Lifting gear on site, as it cannot be moved by hand
• A solid, level foundation with the base bolted down
• Pipe supports on both sides so the DN100 pipework does not hang on the pump
• A starting method agreed with your electrician for the 18.5 kW motor
