What a CDL(F) Multistage Pump Can Pump, and What It Cannot

| Suitable | Not suitable |
|---|---|
| Clean water, hot or cold within the version limits | Liquids with solid particles or fibres |
| Oils and alcohol | Flammable liquids |
| Acids and alkalis, after checking the specific chemical | Thick, viscous liquids |
| Glycol and coolants | Sewage and slurry |
Operating limits
- Liquid: thin and clean, no solids or fibres
- Temperature: standard -15 to +70 °C, hot water version -15 to +140 °C
- Ambient up to +60 °C, altitude up to 1000 m
Why solids are the main limit
The stages run with close clearances between impellers and diffusers. Grit wears them open, and the head falls stage by stage. Filter the liquid before the pump if there is any doubt.
For liquids with solids, a pipeline pump with a wear-resistant seal, or one of our sewage pumps, is the better choice.
