FKM (fluoro-rubber) diaphragms bridge the gap between everyday nitrile and premium PTFE. They handle many solvents, fuels and strong acids that swell or crack nitrile and neoprene, while staying more flexible and forgiving than PTFE — a cost-effective middle ground for aggressive but not extreme chemistry.
A QBY with FKM diaphragms suits solvent-based paints, fuels and mineral acids, and copes with higher temperatures than rubber. If you have told us the fluid but are unsure of the elastomer, FKM is often our first recommendation to test.
Applications: solvents, fuels and oils, strong acids, petrochemical, solvent-based coatings, chemical processing, aggressive media
