Model: QBY-25 (1 inch) and QBY3-80 (3 inch), stainless steel
How much does a QBY air diaphragm pump weigh, how is it packed, and how fast can it ship? Real figures from our orders, plus the spares to order with it.
Freight is part of the price, so it helps to know the weight early. These figures come from pumps we have actually shipped.

QBY3-80, 3 inch, stainless steel
about 70 kg

Stainless steel and cast iron pumps are much heavier than aluminum or polypropylene pumps of the same size, so if you are comparing freight quotes, compare like with like.
Packing
Pumps for export go in a wooden case, as in the photo. It protects the manifolds and the air valve, which are the parts most easily knocked in transit.
Lead time
For stock pumps it is short. A 1 inch stainless steel 316 QBY-25 was ready to ship in 1 to 2 days. Large pumps in less common materials can take longer; one 4 inch cast iron model needed 15 to 20 days. We confirm the lead time with every quotation.
What to order with the pump
An air preparation unit (filter, regulator and lubricator) for each pump, so the air supply can be cleaned and the flow adjusted
Spare diaphragms, since they are the main wear part. One recent order called for six per pump
A repair kit for the liquid side (diaphragms, balls, seats, O-rings) and one for the air side (air valve parts and seals)
Not sure which size you need? Our QBY sizing guide walks through flow, head, solids and material.
