100YW100-15-7.5 Vertical Sump Pump for Residential Lift Stations

The model code already tells you most of the specification. 100 is the outlet diameter in mm, YW is the series, then 100 m³/h flow, 15 m head and a 7.5 kW motor. This size is widely used in lift stations for residential areas.

Unlike our smaller YW pumps, which use 2 pole motors, this one runs at 1440 r/min. For sewage, the lower speed means less wear on the impeller and the wear ring, less vibration along the long shaft and lower noise. That last point matters when the station is close to houses. The efficiency is 67%, clearly better than the small models.

The recommended working head is 8 to 15 m. In a typical residential station, the lift plus the friction in the rising main falls in this range. The submerged length can be from 1 m up to 7 m, so the pump end can reach the bottom of a fairly deep wet well while the motor stays at ground level.

Regular maintenance

• Check the control panel and the wiring at regular intervals
• Add or change the oil in the oil chamber every 300 to 500 running hours
• Replace the wear ring between impeller and casing if it is damaged; a worn ring is one of the most common causes of reduced flow
