ZW40-10-20 Self-Priming Sewage Pump with DN40 Suction
ZW40-10-20: 10 m³/h at 20 m, 2.2 kW. Why the suction is DN40 and the discharge DN32, and how to plan the pipework.

Model: ZW32-9-30
ZW32-9-30 lifts 9 m³/h to 30 m on 3 kW with DN32 flanges. A worked example of checking suction lift before you buy.

ZW32-9-30 is the high-head option in the DN32 group: 9 m³/h at 30 m on a 3 kW motor. Because it sits above the liquid, the suction side needs as much attention as the discharge.
The catalogue gives a self-priming height of 5.5 m for this model and asks for a suction pipe no longer than 10 m. Take a pit where the lowest liquid level is 3.5 m below the pump centre and the suction pipe is 6 m long with one bend. The vertical lift is well inside 5.5 m and the pipe is short, so the pump will prime and run normally.
If the liquid could fall to 6 m below the pump, move the pump lower or choose a submersible sewage pump instead. Self-priming pumps cannot pull liquid beyond their rated lift.
Add the height from the pump to the outlet point and the pipe losses. If the total is near 30 m, this model fits. Our head calculator helps with the pipe losses.
If your suction line is bigger than DN32, ask for a larger suction port. A wider inlet also helps priming on a long or lifted suction line.
