Product Overview

Some fluids are just mean. Concentrated hydrochloric, sulphuric or nitric acid will pit a metal pump and, given a bit of heat, push polypropylene past what it can take. That’s the point where you move to PVDF.

PVDF — you’ll also see it called Kynar — holds up against a remarkably wide band of aggressive chemistry, and it does it at higher temperatures than polypropylene manages. Fit one with a PTFE diaphragm and the entire wetted path is fluoropolymer: about as close to chemically bulletproof as an AODD pump gets. It’s why these turn up in chemical processing, plating shops and semiconductor fabs.

We stock the popular PVDF builds and every one is genuine. One thing we always ask before we quote: give us the exact chemical and its concentration. PVDF covers a lot, but not literally everything, and it’s our job to tell you if you need something else before you buy the wrong pump.
