WILDEN P8 2″ Stainless Steel AODD Pump: P8, XPS8, PS8

P8 and XPS8 have more stainless builds than any other Wilden model: 60 each, according to PSG. Add 11 PS8 builds and the 2 inch clamped family comes to 131 part numbers.

All are rated for air pressure up to 125 psi (8.6 bar). PSG does not list a maximum solids size on these pages.

NPT or Tri-Clamp

This is where the 2 inch clamped pumps differ most from the bolted ones. Tri-Clamp ports are available on 22 P8, 28 XPS8 and 4 PS8 builds. Tri-Clamp joints open with a single clamp, so the pump can be taken off the line quickly for cleaning or a product change. The NPT versions suit fixed installations with threaded pipe.

In the part number, Tri-Clamp builds carry a suffix such as /0070: P8/SSAPP/FWS/FW/FW/0070 is the Tri-Clamp twin of P8/SSAPP/FWS/FW/FW. The weight difference is small, 106 lb (48 kg) against 104 lb (47 kg) on PSG’s pages.

P8, PS8 or XPS8?

The XPS8 is the choice when the pump sees low or high temperatures, because of its aluminum air side. The PS8 offers the same listed flow with a polypropylene air side. The P8 is the long-established model and the most likely to be on site already; for a replacement, staying with the same model keeps the spare parts the same.
