Cast iron is the smallest-selling body material at 1 inch, but it has its place: a tough, heavy casing for oils, paints and general transfer where aluminum wears too fast and stainless steel is more than the job needs. Wilden lists 30 cast iron P220 builds and 21 XPS220 builds, all bolted with NPT threads.

All four take air up to 120 psi (8.3 bar) and pass solids up to 0.25 inch (6.4 mm). The P220 builds are listed from 40 to 175 °F (4 to 79 °C) with their polypropylene air side; the XPS220 builds, with an aluminum air side, go to 220 °F (104 °C).
Cast iron is not a choice for acids or for products that must stay free of iron. For those duties at 1 inch, look at the stainless steel or plastic versions of the same pumps.
