Product Overview

Wilden builds five small models with a stainless steel wetted path. They split into two port sizes. This page answers the practical questions about them one by one.

* Figures from PTFE builds, which run a reduced stroke. Half of the stainless P1 builds use PTFE diaphragms, so that is the number most buyers will see.

How small a solid can they pass?

Very small. PSG lists 0.02 inch (0.5 mm) for the 1/4 inch pumps and 0.06 inch (1.5 mm) for the 1/2 inch pumps. These are pumps for clean or lightly contaminated liquids, not for slurries.

Will they lift from a drum?

Yes, within limits. Dry suction lift is 10.67 ft (3.3 m) for the P.025, 16 ft (4.9 m) for the P1 and XP1 PTFE builds and 14.2 ft (4.3 m) for the XPS1 PTFE build. Lifting from a standard drum is well inside that.

What temperature range?

On the pages we checked, 40 to 175 °F (4 to 79 °C) with a polypropylene air side, 40 to 180 °F (4 to 82 °C) with acetal and 40 to 220 °F (4 to 104 °C) for the aluminum-bodied XPS1. The Santoprene P.025 build goes down to 32 °F (0 °C). The diaphragm also sets a limit, so check both.

How heavy are they?

About 10.7 lb (5 kg) for the 1/4 inch pumps, 19 to 20 lb (9 kg) for the P1 and XP1, and 21 to 24 lb (10 to 11 kg) for the XPS1. All are light enough to carry by hand.

What should I send for a replacement?

The full code on the nameplate, for example P1/SSPPP/TEU/TF/STF. The letters after the model describe the materials, and two builds that look identical from outside can use different diaphragms or seats.
