The Wilden air-operated diaphragm pump is designed with safety as a top priority. Because it is powered by compressed air rather than electricity, it produces no electrical sparks during operation. This makes it inherently safe for use in flammable and explosive environments such as chemical plants, oil refineries, and paint factories.
Unlike traditional pumps with mechanical seals, the Wilden pump has no dynamic seals, eliminating the risk of leakage. This is particularly important when handling toxic, corrosive, or expensive fluids where even minor leaks can cause safety hazards or financial losses. The diaphragms completely isolate the pumped fluid from the pump’s moving parts and the external environment.
The pump has undergone ISO9000/EN29000 international quality certification, ensuring reliable performance and long service life. With proper material selection, the pump can withstand harsh operating conditions including high temperatures up to 176.7°C (350°F) and aggressive chemical environments.
