Product Overview

In areas where a single spark is a hazard, an electric pump is a liability. The QBY runs on compressed air alone, so there is no motor, no switching arc and — once the pump is grounded — no static discharge either. That is what makes it a standard choice for flammable, volatile and toxic fluids.

There is a bonus in the physics: as compressed air expands on the exhaust stroke it cools slightly, so the pump does not build heat the way a motor-driven unit does. For solvent stores, fuel handling and chemical plants, that combination of no spark and no hot surface is exactly the point.
