Nobody’s climbing into a pit handling this volume for a routine check, so auto-coupling is standard practice rather than an add-on. One thing people skip and shouldn’t: install a check-valve on the discharge line. At 145-180 m³/h, a missing check-valve means a sharp reverse-rotation event every time the pump shuts down, and that adds up to real impeller wear over enough cycles.
