Product Overview

Head is not only height. On a long pipeline most of it goes into pipe friction. ZW80-25-40, with 25 m³/h at 40 m on 7.5 kW, is often chosen for exactly that: sending wastewater a long way to a treatment tank.

A quick estimate

Suppose the outlet is only 8 m above the pump but the line is several hundred metres long. In a DN65 pipe at 25 m³/h, friction can use up a large part of the remaining head, depending on the pipe and fittings. A larger discharge pipe cuts that loss sharply. Put the real lengths into our head calculator before choosing between this model and a smaller one.

The same hydraulics with a DN65 suction are available as ZW65-25-40.

On a long line you may want a larger discharge than DN65. The outlet, and the inlet, can be made to the size you specify.
