Product Overview

If the ZW self-priming sewage pump fails to deliver water, several common causes should be investigated. The most frequent reason is insufficient liquid in the pump body. Check the liquid level in the pump chamber and add liquid if needed. Remember that the pump must be initially primed before first use.

Another common cause is air leakage in the suction pipe. Inspect all joints, flanges, and connections on the suction side for leaks. Even small air leaks can prevent the pump from establishing vacuum. Tighten loose connections and replace damaged gaskets or seals.

Low voltage can also prevent the pump from reaching rated speed and developing sufficient pressure. Check the power supply voltage at the motor terminals. Excessive suction lift or overly long suction pipe can exceed the pump’s self-priming capability. Reduce the suction lift or shorten the pipe length. Severe mechanical seal leakage may also prevent priming; inspect and replace the seal if necessary.
