Product Overview

  1. Mount the pump on a flat, clean base able to carry its weight, with anchor bolts where it must be fixed. For quiet rooms, use vibration isolators under the base.
  2. Keep the motor above the pump. A vertical pipeline pump is not meant to be installed lying down unless it is the horizontal ISW.
  3. Support the pipes on both sides independently. The pump casing must not carry the weight of the pipework.
  4. Fit an isolating valve on each side, and a check valve on the discharge.
  5. Make the suction pipe short, with few bends, and tight against air leaks.
  6. Fill the pump and suction pipe with water and vent the air before starting.
  7. Check the direction of rotation with a short start. Swap two phases if it is wrong.
  8. Start with the discharge valve partly open, then open it to the duty point while watching the current.
  9. Check the seal, the noise and the bearing temperature during the first hours.
