Pipeline Centrifugal Pumps & CDL Multistage PumpsHigh-Rise Water Boosting with a CDL(F) Multistage Pump: Worked Example
Working out the head for a high-rise booster pump and choosing a CDL(F) build: a 25-floor example at 16 m³/h, step by step.

Model: ISG and IRG vertical pipeline pumps
Vertical inline pumps for chilled water and condenser water loops in HVAC systems: what sets the flow and head, and why closed-loop pressure matters.

Most air-conditioning plants move water in two loops: chilled water from the chiller to the air handlers and fan coils, and condenser water from the chiller to the cooling tower. Vertical inline pumps suit both because they sit in the pipe run and take little plant room space.
| Chilled water loop | Condenser water loop | |
|---|---|---|
| Loop type | Closed | Open at the cooling tower |
| What sets the head | Friction through pipes, coils, valves and the chiller | Friction plus the lift to the tower spray |
| Usual pump | ISG | ISG, larger sizes at 1450 r/min |
Size the loop resistance with the head calculator, then choose the frame in the selection table.
