The QBY series pneumatic diaphragm pump offers numerous advantages over traditional centrifugal and electric pumps. First, it does not overheat during operation because compressed air expands and absorbs heat as it exhausts, naturally cooling the pump. Second, it produces no electrical sparks, making it intrinsically safe for explosive environments when properly grounded. Third, the pump can handle liquids containing solid particles up to 10 mm in diameter thanks to its positive displacement design and ball valve inlet. Fourth, the pump generates extremely low shear forces on the pumped media. Materials enter and exit the pump with minimal agitation, making it ideal for shear-sensitive substances like food emulsions, biological cultures, and unstable chemicals. Fifth, flow rate is fully adjustable by adding a throttling valve at the outlet or varying the air supply pressure. Sixth, the pump has excellent self-priming capability and can lift liquid from depths of 5 to 7 meters without any foot valve or priming chamber.
Additional benefits include the ability to run dry indefinitely without damage, fully submersible operation, and compatibility with an extremely wide range of fluids from low-viscosity solvents to high-viscosity pastes exceeding 10,000 centipoise. The pump has no complex control systems, no cables or fuses, and is lightweight and portable. It requires no lubrication, reducing maintenance and eliminating drips that could contaminate the work environment. The pump maintains high efficiency throughout its service life and automatically stops when the outlet is closed, preventing energy waste.
The Full QBY FamilyThe QBY series covers eight standard sizes from 10 mm to 100 mm. Flow ranges from 0.8 m³/h to 30 m³/h. Head goes up to 60 meters. There’s a model for almost every job. Complete Mode…
When You Need Big FlowThe QBY-80 and QBY-100 are the largest standard models. They handle high-volume transfer jobs where smaller pumps would struggle. Both models share the same robust design princip…
Choosing the Right Body MaterialThe QBY comes in four standard materials. Each has strengths for different applications. Here’s a quick comparison. Material Comparison Table Material Weight Corrosion…
