Every model code in this series spells out its rated point. In QX10-18-1.1S, 10 is the rated flow in m³/h, 18 is the rated head in metres and 1.1 is the motor power in kW. The S means stainless steel, the X means a bottom-suction design, and there is no D because it is three-phase.
The rated point is where the pump is designed to work. Run it at much lower head and it will give more flow but load the motor harder. Run it at much higher head and the flow falls away. Either way it runs less efficiently.
So the practical rule is: work out your real flow and total head, then pick the model whose rated point is closest and just above. For 10 m³/h the three-phase steps are 12, 16, 18, 24, 34, 40, 52, 62 and 72 m.
