Why Self-Priming Matters
Many pumps need to be below the liquid level or require a foot valve to hold prime. The QBY doesn’t. It pulls liquid up from up to 7 meters below. This simplifies installation and reduces cost.
How It Achieves Self-Priming
The diaphragms create strong suction on each stroke. The ball valves prevent backflow. Once primed, the pump stays primed for the next start.
Installation Flexibility
Limitations
Suction lift decreases with altitude and with very thick fluids. Keep suction pipe short and straight for best performance.
