The QBY series air-operated double diaphragm pump is a new generation of fluid transfer equipment powered by compressed air. Unlike traditional electric pumps, it requires no priming and can handle both flowing liquids and difficult-to-transfer media such as slurries, pastes, and high-viscosity fluids. It combines the advantages of self-priming pumps, submersible pumps, canned motor pumps, mud pumps, and impurity pumps into one reliable unit.
Constructed with multiple material options including engineering plastic (PP), aluminum alloy, cast iron, and stainless steel, the QBY pump is suitable for a wide range of corrosive and abrasive applications. The diaphragm materials can be selected from nitrile rubber, neoprene, fluororubber, and PTFE to match the chemical compatibility of the pumped medium. The pump delivers a maximum flow rate of 30 m³/h, a head of up to 50 meters, and a self-priming height of 5–7 meters.
The QBY pump operates by using compressed air to drive two diaphragms in synchronized reciprocating motion. Each working chamber contains two check valves that alternately open and close, creating a continuous suction and discharge cycle. This design eliminates the need for mechanical seals, reduces leakage risks, and allows the pump to run dry without damage. It is inherently explosion-proof and spark-free, making it ideal for flammable and hazardous environments.
