Material Selection Guide for WILDEN AODD Pump

WILDEN Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pump supports diversified material combinations of pump body and diaphragm, which can be flexibly selected according to medium characteristics, temperature and corrosion degree, adapting to all kinds of complex industrial working conditions. The complete material system covers metal and plastic series, meeting the differentiated needs of industrial production.

For metal pump series, the pump body is optional with aluminum alloy, cast iron, 316 stainless steel and Hastelloy materials. It features high structural strength, high pressure resistance and wide temperature adaptability, suitable for high-pressure, high-temperature and conventional industrial fluid transportation. The maximum working pressure of metal WILDEN pump can reach 8.6Bar (125Psig), and the maximum theoretical head is up to 86 meters.

For plastic pump series, the pump body adopts PP (polypropylene) and PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) materials, with excellent anti-corrosion performance, suitable for strong acid and alkali corrosive media. The maximum working pressure of plastic pump is 6.9Bar (100Psig), which meets the low and medium pressure corrosion working conditions.

In terms of diaphragm materials, optional types include NBR butadiene rubber, Neoprene chloroprene rubber, PTFE Teflon and Wil-Flex special rubber, adapting to high viscosity, corrosion, abrasion and high temperature media. The maximum working temperature of the pump can reach 176.7℃ (350℉) with matched materials.
