What the (I) changes

Compare two pumps from our table. The 50-160 is rated 12.5 m³/h at 32 m with a 3 kW motor. The 50-160(I) is rated 25 m³/h at the same 32 m, with a 4 kW motor. Same inlet, same impeller size, twice the flow.

What the letters change

The 40-250(I) family shows the trims clearly: the full impeller gives 80 m, A gives 70 m, B 60 m and C 52 m, with motors of 11, 7.5, 7.5 and 5.5 kW. A trim lets you match the duty without wasting power on head you do not need.

One more thing: speed

Some frames carry the same model name at 2900 and 1450 r/min. The 100-200, for example, is 100 m³/h at 50 m with 22 kW at the higher speed, and 50 m³/h at 12.5 m with 3 kW at the lower one. Always give the speed or the motor power with the model.
