WILDEN XPS1 vs P1: 1/2″ Aluminum AODD Pumps Compared

On paper the XPS1 and the P1 look almost the same: both are 1/2 inch clamped aluminum pumps with center ports and about 15 gpm of flow. The differences are in the air side, and they show up in the temperature range.

The wider temperature range is the main reason to choose the XPS1. With a Santoprene diaphragm, Wilden lists it from -40 to 225 °F, which covers outdoor sites in cold climates and warmer process liquids that a polypropylene air side cannot take. The PTFE build (01-11229-R) is rated 40 to 200 °F (4 to 93 °C), with 15.8 gpm and a dry lift of 14.2 ft (4.3 m).

Pro-Flo SHIFT is Wilden’s air distribution system designed to reduce air consumption. If air costs matter on your site, ask us for the curves of both pumps at your duty point and compare the air consumption directly.

There are 16 aluminum XPS1 builds, half of them with PTFE diaphragms.
