WILDEN XP2 vs XP220: 1″ Aluminum AODD Pumps Compared

The XP2 and the XP220 share one feature that sets them apart from the P2 and P220: Wilden lists their air side as conductive polypropylene. A conductive air side lets static charge drain away through the pump, which matters on sites that handle solvents or fuels. If your site has hazardous-area requirements, tell us which ones, and we will confirm the right build with you.

The main difference between the two is how the pump is held together.

  • XP2 is a clamped pump. Clamp bands make it quick to open for diaphragm changes.
  • XP220 belongs to the bolted Pro-Flo FIT series. Bolted construction is the usual choice where a leak would be a problem.

The bolted XP220 passes larger solids, while the clamped XP2 lifts better and weighs less. Wilden lists only one aluminum XP2 build and four XP220 builds, so these pumps are usually ordered as exact replacements. Quote the full nameplate code when you ask us.
