Matching GD Model Names to ISG: One Mixed Order of Pipeline Pumps

Pipeline pumps are sold under many names. One recent order arrived as a list written with GD and SGR model names, each with a duty in brackets. The job was to match every line to a pump in our range without changing the duty.

Buyer’s descriptionMatched buildMaterial
GD(2)65-30, vertical, 25 m³/h, 30 m, clear water 0 to 90 °CISG65-160, 4 kWCast iron
GD(2)40-15, 1.1 kW, vertical, 11 m³/h, 10 m, waterISG40-100(I), 1.1 kWCast iron
SGR50-125, vertical, 12.5 m³/h, 20 m, hot waterSGR50-125, 1.5 kWCast iron
Hot water pumps, larger sizesSGR80-160, 7.5 kW; SGR100-125A, 7.5 kWCast iron
Chemical line pumpsIHG125-200B; IHG150-400B304 stainless steel
Horizontal pumpISW100-125A, 7.5 kWCast iron

How the matching works

  1. Read the duty, not the name. GD(2)65-30 means a 65 mm pump for 30 m; our ISG65-160 gives 25 m³/h at 32 m with a 4 kW motor, which covers it.
  2. Check the liquid and temperature. Hot water lines went to hot water pumps, the acid and alkali lines to stainless steel IHG.
  3. Keep the port size, so the pump drops into the existing pipework.

If your list uses another maker’s names, send it with the duties. We match it line by line and tell you where a duty falls between two of our builds.
