Three pumps share the 3 inch Pro-Flo SHIFT name, and the choice between them usually comes down to two questions: how much flow, and how you will handle the pump.
Go bolted. The XPS1520 (NPT) and XPS1530 (ANSI flanged) are rated at 271 gpm (1026 L/min) and 125 psi (8.6 bar), with 23.8 ft (7.3 m) dry suction lift. Wilden’s example duty is 185 gpm (700 L/min) against 1.4 bar (20 psig), which takes 5.5 bar (80 psig) supply air and about 161 Nm³/h (95 scfm). Make sure the compressor can keep up.
The clamped XPS15 ships at about 121 lb (55 kg). The threaded XPS1520 is around 176 lb (80 kg) and the flanged XPS1530 around 223 lb (101 kg). For a pump that gets moved between tanks, that difference is real. One caution: Wilden’s pages for the XPS15 don’t publish a maximum flow, so we won’t quote one. Their example has it moving 150 gpm (568 L/min) against 1.4 bar (20 psig) on about 116 Nm³/h (68 scfm). Ask us for the full curve at your duty.
Between the bolted two, it is the same choice as at every size: threads or flanges, whichever your piping uses. There are 66 aluminum builds across the three models, and Santoprene is by far the most common elastomer.
