WILDEN PS4 vs PS430: 1-1/2″ Pro-Flo SHIFT AODD Pumps

The names suggest close relatives, and both are 1-1/2 inch Pro-Flo SHIFT pumps. In practice they are different pumps, and one cannot replace the other without changes to the pipework.

The PS4 (build 04-13684) is a clamped pump with NPT threaded ports. PSG lists a maximum flow of 82 gpm (310 L/min), a dry suction lift of 22.9 ft (7.0 m) and a shipping weight of 46 lb (20.9 kg).

The PS430 (builds 04-13959 and 04-13961) is a bolted pump from the Pro-Flo SHIFT FIT series, with ANSI flanges. It moves up to 132 gpm (500 L/min), handles solids up to 0.25 inch (6.3 mm), lifts 19.5 ft (5.9 m) dry and ships at about 62 lb (28.1 kg).

So the PS430 moves considerably more liquid, while the PS4 lifts higher and is lighter. Both run on up to 125 psi (8.6 bar) of air, and the builds we checked are rated 32 to 175 °F (0 to 79 °C).

These are small families: one aluminum PS4 build and four PS430 builds, with Buna-N, EPDM, Santoprene or PTFE diaphragms. That usually means an exact replacement, so please send the full nameplate code with your enquiry.
