Polypropylene is the workhorse plastic of chemical pumping, and for good reason. It stands up to a genuinely wide spread of acids, bases and salt solutions, and it does it at a price well below PVDF or stainless. For a lot of chemical duties, it’s simply the right call.
A polypropylene Wilden with a PTFE or Santoprene diaphragm covers most everyday chemical transfer — plating rinses, cleaning solutions, mild acids and alkalis. Where it stops is the really aggressive, hot or oxidising stuff; that’s PVDF or Alloy C territory, and we’ll flag it if your fluid sits in that band.
Genuine, full plastic range, common builds stocked. Send the chemical and concentration and we’ll confirm polypropylene is enough — no sense paying for PVDF you don’t need.
