WILDEN P15 3″ AODD Diaphragm Pump – Large-Volume Transfer

Wilden’s P15 name is still searched, but the model is not listed in Wilden’s current range today. At 3 inch, Wilden currently builds pumps in aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, polypropylene and PVDF, and the choice between them is wider than it used to be.

3 inch models and their published figures

• XPS1520 (bolted, NPT): 271 gpm (1026 L/min), solids up to 0.25 inch (6.4 mm), dry lift 23.8 ft (7.3 m) for aluminum build 15-12398
• XPS1530 (bolted, ANSI flanged): 271 gpm (1026 L/min)
• T15 (Turbo-Flo, clamped): 232 gpm (878 L/min), max air 120 psi (8.3 bar), aluminum or cast iron
• P1500 (bolted plastic): 195 gpm (738 L/min), max air 100 psi (6.9 bar), polypropylene or PVDF
• XPS15 (clamped): Wilden gives a sample duty of 492 L/min (130 gpm) against 2.8 bar discharge, but no maximum flow

Weight is part of the decision

An aluminum XPS15 ships at about 121 lb (55 kg) and an aluminum XPS1520 at about 176 lb (80 kg). The plastic P1500 build we checked is about 275 lb (125 kg). A cast iron T15 is about 200 lb (91 kg). Plan the base and lifting gear accordingly.

If 3 inch is still not enough, Wilden also builds 4 inch pumps in cast iron: the XPS20 is listed at 277 gpm (1049 L/min).
