The QBYS is the QBY pneumatic diaphragm pump built in stainless steel — and that one change is what opens up a whole set of jobs the aluminium or cast-iron QBY can’t touch. When the fluid is corrosive, food-grade, or has to pass a hygiene audit, you need a stainless wetted path, and that’s exactly what the QBYS gives you.
It’s cast in SS304 (SS316 available for harsher chemistry), and it covers the same size range as the standard QBY — from QBYS-10 up to QBYS-100 — so you don’t trade flow for corrosion resistance. Everything else stays pure QBY: sealless, self-priming, run-dry safe, and driven by air rather than a motor, which makes it a natural fit for flammable and hazardous areas too.
Where it earns its keep: acids and alkalis, salty and brine-laden fluids, food and beverage transfer (sauces, syrups, dairy), and pharmaceutical or fine-chemical duties where the surfaces have to stay clean. Match it with a PTFE diaphragm and it handles some genuinely aggressive chemistry.
