WILDEN XPS220 vs P220: 1″ Aluminum AODD Pumps Compared

The XPS220 is usually considered as an upgrade from the P220. So rather than repeat a spec sheet, here are the two side by side, using the PTFE builds 02-12965 (XPS220) and 02-11372 (P220).

P220XPS220
Air systemPro-FloPro-Flo SHIFT
Max flow44 gpm (167 L/min)52 gpm (197 L/min)

Air sidePolypropyleneAluminum

Dry suction lift11.4 ft (3.5 m)17 ft (5.2 m)
Temperature (these builds)40 to 175 °F (4 to 79 °C)40 to 220 °F (4 to 104 °C)

Two rows matter more than the others. The full 1 inch discharge means the XPS220 is not a drop-in replacement for a P220 with 3/4 inch pipework, so budget for an adapter. And the larger air inlet means the air line feeding it should be checked too.

On air use, Wilden’s example for the XPS220 is 22 gpm (83 L/min) against 2.8 bar (40 psig), taking about 36 Nm³/h (23 scfm) at 4.1 bar (60 psig) supply. If you send us your duty point, we will put both pumps’ curves next to each other so you can see what you would actually save.
