Wilden T15 Air End Repair Kit: What to Check

A new pump that lost one seal needs one seal. A pump that has been running for years and just lost one probably needs all of them, because they’re all the same age.

That’s the argument for an air end repair kit on the T15: the seals and small wear parts for the air side in one go, rather than reopening the pump in a few months. Kit contents change from one pump model and build to the next, so don’t assume. Ask for the contents list and compare it with your parts list. You’re looking for the shaft seals, the O-rings and whatever small hardware your model uses.

The pump is open anyway, so run through this while you’re in there:

• Shaft: any scoring?
• Center block bores: still smooth?
• Air valve assembly: worn or sticking?
• Washers and fasteners: take out anything damaged.
