Product Overview

On a farm, a pump has to earn its keep with as little babysitting as possible. You want to drop a suction line into the river, ditch or reservoir, flick the switch, and irrigate — not spend twenty minutes priming a line every time. The ZWL direct-coupled self-priming sewage pump is well suited to that rural rhythm, and rural water-conservancy irrigation is one of the uses it was built for.

No foot valve, no daily priming

The big convenience is the self-priming action. Once you’ve filled the pump body the first time, it re-primes itself on every start through its axial-reflux chamber — there’s no foot valve to install down in the water and clog with silt, and no priming water to pour each time. For irrigation that starts and stops all season, that saves real time.

Its 4.5–5.5 m self-priming height covers the typical lift from a river or canal up to a field-side pump. And because farm water carries silt, weed and grit, the non-clog passage matters here too — it clears solids up to about 60% of the port diameter and fibre up to five times it, so the pump doesn’t choke on ditch debris.

Rugged and simple

Cast iron is the sensible, economical body for irrigation and drainage water. The unit is compact and horizontal, easy for one person to shift between fields, and with an outdoor motor it needs no shelter. Low failure rate, long life — exactly what you want from farm equipment.
