Most self-priming sewage pumps are low-head machines. But some jobs need real lift — pushing effluent up a tall building, over a levee, or a long way across a site — and for those the ZWL direct-coupled self-priming sewage pump has genuine high-head models that reach 60 to 80 m.

When you’re pushing a long way, don’t size on the vertical lift alone. Friction in a long or narrow discharge line, plus every bend, adds head the pump has to overcome.
