WQK10-12QG Sewage Pump System – Setting Up for Reliable Operation

Building a sewage pump system isn’t just about buying a pump and dropping it in a hole. You need to think about piping, electrical protection, and maintenance access. The WQK10-12QG is a solid choice for the pump itself — 10 m³/h flow, 12 meters head, 1.1 kW — but the system around it matters just as much.

Putting Together the System
First, the pump. The WQK10-12QG has a 40 mm outlet, so your discharge pipe should match or step up slightly to reduce friction loss. Use a non-return valve to prevent backflow when the pump stops.
Second, electrical. This pump runs on 380V three-phase. You need a proper starter with overload protection. Don’t skip the residual current device — it’s not optional.
Third, the pit. The pump needs to sit on a flat, stable surface. If the bottom of the pit is muddy, put a concrete pad down. Make sure the pump is fully submerged before starting.

One Thing People Forget
