Wilden XPS830: 2″ Aluminum AODD Pump, 181 GPM

Part number 08-14814 is the XPS830 in Wilden’s current Pro-Flo SHIFT FIT series — a 2″ metal air-operated double diaphragm pump built entirely in aluminum, from the pump body through to the center block and air chambers. Officially, it’s rated to 181 GPM, which puts it solidly in the mid-size range for Wilden’s metal pumps: enough for real production transfer, not just topping off a tank.

Why Aluminum, Why Viton

Aluminum keeps the pump lighter than a full stainless build while still holding up to most general industrial fluids, which is why it’s such a common choice when the process isn’t aggressive enough to justify the extra cost of stainless. On the wetted elastomer side — diaphragm, valve balls and valve seats — Wilden specs this configuration in Viton/FKM, a material that handles a wide range of oils, fuels and many acids without much drama, along with decent heat resistance.

Like most pneumatic pumps, the XPS830 doesn’t need an electric motor at the pump end, which matters in areas where compressed air is already run but adding electrical equipment would be a hassle, or where it’s simply not allowed.

Several 2″ Wilden pumps look nearly identical from the outside but ship with different elastomers or port sizes, and that’s an easy way to end up with a part that doesn’t fit.
