Wilden T15 Shaft 15-3800-09-07 for Turbo-Flo Pumps

Nobody looks at the shaft until the seals start failing for no obvious reason.

The 15-3800-09-07 is the shaft on the Wilden T15, position 15 in the parts list. It joins the two diaphragms so they move together, and it runs through the center block on a pair of seals. Every stroke drags its surface across those seals, so a scratch, a pit or a patch of corrosion on it wears down new seals faster than they should go.

If you keep replacing seals, check the shaft. Light marks can sometimes be smoothed out; deep scoring can’t. And when the shaft does get changed, change the seals at the same time, otherwise a worn part just wears out the new one.
