Moving oil and fuel sounds simple until you count what can go wrong: static building on flammable fuel, the odd slug of water or debris in the line, and the need to lift product out of a drum without a flooded suction. Diaphragm pumps take the lot in stride. They self-prime to pull fuel up, tolerate a gulp of air or water without missing a beat, and — in conductive form — carry static safely away on flammable grades.
Aluminium bodies with Buna-N or Viton diaphragms suit most oils, fuels and lubricants; step up to conductive, ATEX-rated builds for petrol, solvents and anything with a low flash point.
