QX3-18-0.55S Stainless Submersible Pump for Aquaculture

Aquaculture is one of the uses listed for this series, and the stainless body is the reason. Fish and shrimp farms often work with brackish or salt water that corrodes ordinary pumps.

QX3-18-0.55S gives 3 m³/h at 18 m head on a 0.55 kW, 380 V motor. That suits water exchange in tanks, supplying header tanks and moving water between ponds.

Points to watch on a farm

• Order 316 stainless for salt or brackish water; 304 is fine for fresh water
• Keep the pump off the pond bottom so it does not pick up sludge; solids must stay at 0.2 mm or less
• Water temperature up to 60 °C, which covers heated hatchery water
• Submersion no deeper than 5 m
