QDX10-18-1.1S Stainless Submersible Pump: What Water It Can Handle

QDX10-18-1.1S moves 10 m³/h at 18 m head on a 1.1 kW single-phase motor, with a 50 mm outlet. The main thing to check with this family is what water it can actually pump.

Short answer

Clean or lightly dirty water. The limit in the manual is clear: solid particles no larger than 0.2 mm, and no more than 0.1 % of the volume.

Fine for

• Clean water, rainwater and well water
• Seawater and brine (order 316 stainless)
• Process and rinse water with mild chemicals, within pH limits
• Warm water up to 60 °C

Not suitable

• Raw sewage with solids
• Water with sand, gravel or mud
• Liquids with rags, wipes or hair

For those, use a WQ submersible sewage pump, or a GNWQ cutter pump when there are fibres. Putting a small clean-water pump on dirty water is the usual reason for early seal and impeller wear.
