Product Overview

In a deep well, the riser does two jobs at once: it carries the water up, and it carries the weight of the pump, the cable and the water inside it. Deep well submersible pumps place no special demand on the riser material, as long as it can take the pressure and the load.

Pressure at the bottom

The bottom of the riser sees at least the full head of the pump. A pump rated for 200 m puts about 20 bar on the lowest joint, so choose the pipe and gaskets for that, not for the pressure at the top.

Fixing the cable

Fix the cable to the riser at every pipe, in the groove of the flange where there is one, so it cannot rub against the well wall or be crushed by the clamps when the pump is lowered.

  • borehole pump installation
