The 25YW8-22-1.1 is the smallest pump in our YW series. We usually recommend it for small pits that do not collect much water, but where the water has to be lifted quite high or sent quite far once it leaves the pit, for example a drain pit beside production equipment that feeds a treatment unit on an upper floor.
Rated duty is 8 m³/h at 22 m. The motor is 1.1 kW and runs at 2825 r/min. The outlet is DN25.
Working head range
The recommended working head for this model is 10 to 22 m. Please do not use it on a very short discharge line with almost no head. In that situation the pump delivers much more water than it is designed for and the motor current goes up. For all YW pumps we ask customers to keep the actual head at no less than about 60% of the rated head.
The efficiency listed in our table is 38.5%. This is normal for a pump of this size. With a 1.1 kW motor the difference in electricity cost is very small.
Why customers choose it over a small submersible pump
The motor is mounted on a plate above the pit and only the pump end goes into the liquid on a long shaft. There is no cable or motor under water, and the pump end is always flooded, so it does not need priming. Most customers who buy this size tell us the main reason is simple: they can check the motor without lifting anything out of the pit.
Please check these limits
- Liquid temperature up to 60 °C
- Density 1.0 to 1.3 kg/dm³, pH 5 to 9
- Solid particles up to about half of the outlet diameter
- Submerged length 1 to 5 m for this frame
If your liquid is hotter, more acidic or heavier than this, let us know when you ask for a quotation so we can check materials and seals before production.
